An office
colleague of mine looked depressed. Upon inquiry, she informed it was the
birthday of her best friend and her mobile data connection being down, she
wasn't able to message him on WhatsApp or wish him on Facebook.
I said, almost
jokingly, "Well, you could consider calling him." And she exclaimed,
"Oh yes, I can do that!"
So, she called
and they talked happily after.
It seems for
many of us the birthday wishes have been reduced to just a WhatsApp message or
a Facebook post.
